The Pool area is second to none as can be seen by the photo’s, But the pier de resistance has to be the views and the tranquility of the site. There is a large bar with inside and outside seating, pool table, and a different food van turns up most evening selling a selection of cuisines.
Piches are a great size with shade and sun as required, water taps and electric hookup (tip, you could require a 50 mtr cable on some pitches) The toilet and shower blocks are spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water, and as soon as anybody leaves a pitch ,the remaining grass is cut and bushes strummed. (It only looked a couple of inches on the map🙈) I had only booked a couple of days before but the team on reception sorted us out also giving us a pitch in front of the river.We received an extremely warm welcome checked in quickly and pointed in the direction of our pitch.( Great Start to anybody’s Holiday). After a 10 hour drive from Roscoff we arrived. This was our first visit to the Dordogne area of France but from previous reviews of campsites in France our expectations have become high,and Capeyrou did not fall short on any account.
